noreferrer\">Capas<\/a>)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Capas is a passion project brought to life by David Sch\u00f6nthal who hopes to turn it into an official business next summer.<\/p>\n<p>The future company which is still being established will offer an array of unique cheesecakes with various flavour combinations.<\/p>\n<p>At the moment, David makes them for his friends and family for free but hopes to one day own his own cheesecake caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>David describes himself as a \u201cfoodie\u201d who began experimenting with making cheesecakes around two and a half years ago.<\/p>\n<p>After his flatmate made some sweet bread for Easter that they didn\u2019t want to go to waste, David used some of it to form the base of a cheesecake.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom there it turned into a passion because I realised that cheesecakes lend themselves to a lot of whacky flavour combinations,\u201d David explained, \u201cand you can really combine flavours that work well together.\u201d<\/p>\n<div combining different flavours, David also turns classic desserts into cheesecakes like this Black Forest creation<\/p><\/div>\n<p>David had hoped to launch his business this summer and has begun working on branding.<\/p>\n<p>But on top of being a research associate in the school of English, Communication and Philosophy at Cardiff University and a dance instructor for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RhythmTapCF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rhythm Tap Cardiff<\/a>, the plans had to be postponed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I\u2019m still making cheesecakes, the hygiene plan is being developed, the branding is being developed, but just much slower. So, hopefully, fingers crossed, by next summer it should be up and running,&#8221; David said.<\/p>\n<p>Capas has been gaining an ever-growing fanbase on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/capascheesecake\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Facebook<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CapasCheesecake\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/capascheesecake\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Instagram<\/a> thanks to David\u2019s artistic presentation and unusual flavour combinations.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet tw-align-center\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Eating one of these right now.
