Little Man Coffee Co brings yet another splash of the arts to Cardiff. What is Ffoton and who are the photographers on display this October?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Little Man Coffee Co is a hub for talent as this month’s art display gives Wales\u2019s photographers recognition.<\/span><\/p>\n

Host to a number of installations throughout the year, the coffee shop has teamed up with Ffoton Wales and is currently showing work from the company\u2019s #portraitcymru tag on Instagram.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ffoton is platform and community for photographers.<\/p>\n

With the exhibition running until 11 November, Little Man and Ffoton are giving photographers in Wales the opportunity to share work that could otherwise go unseen.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a good way to showcase people\u2019s talents to their friends and family, said Little Man owner Rob Cooper.<\/span><\/p>\n

He explained: \u201cIt\u2019s more important for Little Man to support those who might be doing their first show, or exhibition.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe like to help the underdog, the start up, the student, the random.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the original Bridge Street space, Little Man is displaying images from #portraitcymru at their new Garage branch on Tudor Lane. <\/span><\/p>\n

These \u201cdistinct spaces\u201d, as Rob describes them, allow for multiple ongoing installations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Between them, the company is maximising on Cardiff\u2019s creative abilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

When asked about working with Little Man, Brian Carroll, co-founder of Ffoton, explained they had liked Rob\u2019s aim to support independent artists and groups.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ffoton\u00a0supports both the experienced and aspiring independent photographer. <\/span><\/p>\n

Putting out the #urbanwales tag last year and #portraitcymru now, Ffoton continues to uncover aspiring Welsh photographers. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cArts Council and publicly-funded organisations tend to focus on a narrow genre of art photography but there\u2019s so much more out there,\u201d said Brian, explaining why Ffoton\u00a0started.<\/span><\/p>\n

He specified that Ffoton\u00a0is looking for photographers working, “in\u00a0any genre.”<\/span><\/p>\n

#portraitcymru embodies this, and has drawn in a mixed bag of Instagram\u2019s creative users. <\/span><\/p>\n

It is Ffoton\u2019s third photography exhibition at Little Man Coffee, according to Brian.<\/span><\/p>\n
