The Falkland people gave the rock as a gift to Wales to remember those heroes who fight for freedom.
The statue of Falkland Memorial located in Wales National War Memorial Park, Cardiff, was created in 2007 by the Wales branch of the South Atlantic Medal Association.
In 1982, the Falkland Islands were occupied by Argentine forces. Later a British Task Force was prompted to be dispatched to the South Atlantic to reclaim the rights of British.
The liberation of the islands occurred on June 30, 1982, at a significant cost, with 255 military personal and three civilian islanders losing their lives.
The large rock on the memorial was a gift from the Falkland Island people, remembering those fallen people who gave their life for freedom.
