Rhondda Cynon Taff Council leader says flooding has caused up to \u00a330 million worth of damage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>14.30<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More environmental stories<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Last night, there was a public meeting about the potential creation of a dam in Dinas Powys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Campaigners are worried about its impact on the local environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But, Natural Resources Wales said the dam will be built unless anyone can come up with a viable alternative. This prompted a meeting between the First Minister, Mark Drakeford AM, and the Secretary of State, Simon Hart, MP. Three hundred businesses are also thought to be damaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The River Taff reached its highest level in 40 years.
