It is about health and dignity.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>She added that the new proposal would only save the council a small amount of money. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emma Reed, Head of Neighbourhood Services and Transport at&nbsp;Vale of Glamorgan &nbsp;Council told council members that it is &#8220;not a proposal to charge for all public toilets in the county&#8221;, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/news\/wales-news\/vale-councils-proposed-coastal-toilets-28649376\">Wales Online reports. <\/a> She added the council is &#8220;mainly looking at more the people who come to visit&#8221; coastal hotspots and the charge will help with the &#8220;massive&#8221; bills associated with cleaning and maintaining the facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A decision on the plans will be finalised in a council meeting on 6 March. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A council&#8217;s plan to charge people for using public toilets on Barry Island can &#8216;only be a bad thing&#8217;, local businesses have said.
