Searches for gorpcore increased by 368% last year. With the likes of music icons Drake and Stormzy repping this practical outdoor wear, it seems like it has its pegs firmly in the ground.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">According to consumer data specialist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/\">Statista<\/a>, the sports and outdoor clothing market is estimated to reach around $19.6 billion by 2026. Safe to say Gorpcore is not here to mess about.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Does the general public even know what it is? Would they ever wear this? Although it is practical, is it equally fashionable?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Our team went out on the streets of Cardiff, talking to a motley crew of people to see what they think of Gorpcore.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">While some are totally on board, others are still on the fence about it. Which team are you on?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2018Would you wear this?\u2019,&nbsp; \u2018Did you know this was Gorpcore?\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-light-green-cyan-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alisha, 20 and Harvey, 21 &#8211; students<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Harvey: <\/strong>\u201cIt&#8217;s quite modern\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alisha:<\/strong> \u201cI wouldn&#8217;t wear it but everyone is different \u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Harvey:<\/strong> \u201c I\u2019ve never heard of Gorpcore before.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rae, 19 &#8211; student<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI like the first look, that&#8217;s the best one. I don\u2019t really like the fashion that much but he pulls it off.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mitali, 20 and Leah, 19 &#8211; students<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Leah:<\/strong> \u201cOh it&#8217;s Gorpcore!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mitali:<\/strong> \u201cWe are literally shopping for Gorpcore right now. It&#8217;s really easy, there are so many pockets for everything , especially for girls.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mitali:<\/strong> \u201dIt\u2019s gender neutral as well. You can dress comfortably and also look cool.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Leah:<\/strong> \u201dI feel more confident in comfier clothes.I look for this in sports outlets, and even Urban Outfitters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Finnean, 20 &#8211; student<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI like it. Gorpcore isn\u2019t it? I started wearing it before it was a thing because I grew up in the countryside, and I would go on walks with my parents. Only issue is that it&#8217;s quite expensive now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adam, 34 &#8211; works in hospitality<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is not the fashion for me, but I can see it is very suitable for a younger generation. I have never heard of Gorpcore before.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Amaru, 48 &#8211; filmmaker&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI wouldn\u2019t wear it. It is quite eclectic, very fashionable, and very young. It seems hard to wear in the summer. I haven&#8217;t heard of Gorpcore but I know the brand Arc&#8217;teryx.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-light-green-cyan-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background is-style-default\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you know what gorpcore is?
