Born and raised in Llantwit Major, South Wales, Trevelyan started writing to make a living, and today she is considered to be one of the most famous folklore writers in Welsh history.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In this series of short podcasts we discuss, with Dr Juliette Wood from Cardiff University School of History, Archaeology and Religion, three of her most well-known stories from <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Glimpses of Welsh Life and Character.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This book, published in 1893, and personal records preserved by the Llantwit Major History Society, frames not only the \u201csupernatural\u201d local stories of Llantwit Major, but it also features the personal life experiences that influenced Trevelyan\u2019s interpretations of these stories.
