ALL\u00a0Saints Church in Llandaff North held\u00a0its annual harvest festival<\/a> despite being forced to close\u00a0its doors\u00a0the week before because of a break-in.
\nThe Rev Marja Flipse was adamant the church would stay open for services, even though it was forced to close for a few days for police to investigate.
\n\u201cWe were not able to advertise the event as much as we would have liked, as we had to close the church.\u201d said Rev Flipse.
\n\u201cThey didn\u2019t take much except for \u00a320 and our hoover!\u201d
\nHowever, cupboards holding toys and arts and craft supplies were\u00a0damaged when the burglars broke in through a back entrance.
\nSpeaking to Wales Online, Rev Flipse said \u201cWe had quite a shock on Sunday morning, but we were fortunate that nothing of particular sentimental or religious value to us was taken or damaged.\u201d
\nThe church is already struggling for funds for building repairs so fixing the damage is an extra expense.
\n\u201cWe had to call locksmiths to secure the church.\u201d said Rev Flipse.\u00a0 \u201cWe are trying to make sure that the church still remains open for all, but is also safe from criminal damage.\u201d
