The lease, which allows them\u00a0to control how the field is used, was due to have\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">run out next May.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Court Field is used by community groups in the area, including Llanishen and Lisvane Scout Club, which hosted this year\u2019s firework display.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Chairman of the Court Field Action Group, Gary Hunt, who helped campaign to protect the field, said: \u201cThe fireworks are a great example of how the field can be used. He estimated that about 2,000 people went to the Llanishen and Lisvane fireworks display.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u201cThis is the busiest I\u2019ve ever seen it! It\u2019s such a great atmosphere and a brilliant night for the whole family,\u201d he said.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rachel Williams, 43, from Llanishen, said: \u201cIt\u2019s a fantastic event, we come every year.
