week-long litter blitz.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The drive, part of Cardiff Council&#8217;s Love Where You Live Campaign, took place in<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Clifton Street and the surrounding areas\u00a0and involved council workers and volunteers joining forces to clean the streets every day.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Constellation Council&#8217;s cleaning plan for Monday November 7.<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cardiff Council\u2019s neighbourhood services also cleaned over 236 gullies throughout the area, using hoes and shovels to remove built up grime and prevent drain blockages.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On Thursday November 10 a community group cleared 17 bags full of litter from Anderson Fields as well as hedgerows and streets nearby. It\u2019s was great to work together with the local council and others to show that we love where we live.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe also had some great conversations with locals about the area and with Keep Wales Tidy about how to prevent fly tipping.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Keep Adamsdown Tidy and other community groups are being encouraged to get involved and inspire fellow residents to take pride in the cleanliness of their neighbourhood streets.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Councillor Bob Greenland said: \u201cThe Love Where You Live campaign is getting stronger each week and people are starting to see the benefits in their areas. I saw volunteers and council workers out last week, although I didn\u2019t realise the campaign was here so it came as quite a surprise.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI think that getting the community involved is a good idea, although I think that some problems could be fixed by more council action. I know that some residents in Adamsdown don\u2019t have wheelie bins.
