It\u2019s a big investment. We can\u2019t do it overnight.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe\u2019re going to have three new machines including a rollercoaster. I can\u2019t tell you what machines they will be, or even what kind of rollercoaster, because we want it to be a surprise. But watch this space.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe\u2019re also going to tarmac the outside and we\u2019ve built an undercover car park, the only onek on the island and it\u2019s the cheapest car park in Barry.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;We\u2019ll be open over half-term and the Miami and Waltz rides will still be running.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mr \u00a0Danter bought the park 20 months ago to renovate it. <\/span><br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17218\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17218\" style=\"width: 427px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-17218\" src=\"https:\/\/cardiffjournalism.co.uk\/thecardiffian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/02\/File_000-1.jpeg\" alt=\"The pleasure park under construction\" width=\"427\" height=\"320\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-17218\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-17218\" src=\"https:\/\/cardiffjournalism.co.uk\/thecardiffian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/02\/File_000-1.jpeg\" alt=\"The pleasure park under construction\" width=\"427\" height=\"320\" \/><\/noscript> The pleasure park under construction<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI used to come here as a child,\u201d he said. \u201cIt was my family\u2019s favourite place. I own several other businesses and theme parks. This is just following my dream.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI bought it because I wanted to make this the best theme park and restore it back to its glory. It\u2019s a dream. Something I am going to get great pleasure out of when it is done. It\u2019s the biggest challenge of my life.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cMy family were professionals. My father was in the fairground business and he did it until he died aged 93. I\u2019m following in his footsteps and he set the bar very high.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Marck Vockins owns Quasar\u2019s which is opposite the pleasure park. He said: \u201cThe more rides the better. It will encourage people to come to the island.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Michael Zeraschi, 25, owner of Giovanni\u2019s on the Prom, said: \u201cThere\u2019s no rivalry on the island between businesses. When the island is busy everyone benefits. When people use the pleasure park it means that after people are done there they\u2019ll want food and drink.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Amy Barry, 33, is originally from Barry but lives in Splott. \u201cI used to come here as a child,\u201d she said. \u201cI think it\u2019s good that they\u2019re investing so much into it. My daughter loves coming here.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Aiden Marshall, 68 said: \u201cI\u2019ve been coming here since I was three. My son came here when he was a kid and now my grandson comes here.
