Photo: Emma Brute<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nShe and Aneurin are hoping to do the same again this Saturday, with help from Aneurin\u2019s best friend Penny.<br \/>\nMiss Brute set up a <a href=\"https:\/\/brutimusmaximus.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">blog<\/a> on Sunday evening, which received over 200 views in its first 24 hours.<br \/>\n\u201cThe story is shared to encourage other folk to do the same in their own street,\u201d she said.<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI am hugely impressed with Aneurin\u2019s efforts to collect food for the food bank,\u201d said Splott Labour councillor Edward Stubbs.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cGood deeds like this not only help those in need, but bring communities together. Photo: Emma Brute<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\n\u201cI am really heartened by Aneurin&#8217;s thoughtfulness towards those experiencing hardship,&#8221;\u00a0said Jane Henshaw, also a Labour councillor for Splott.<br \/>\n&#8220;I am sure his action will inspire others to make a contribution to the food bank.\u201d<br \/>\nHowever, Aneurin&#8217;s good deeds shouldn&#8217;t be necessary, she said.<br \/>\n&#8220;I find it heartbreaking that in the sixth richest country in the world we have adults and children who are dependent on the kindness of others to eat.\u201d<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Splott resident Lynne Thomas, who runs local website <a href=\"http:\/\/inksplott.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Inksplott<\/a>, described Aneurin\u2019s actions as \u201ctruly heartwarming\u201d.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is a \u201cwonderful, inspiring story to start the week,\u201d she said.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cGood on Emma and Aneurin and all the kind neighbours who donated food.
