On a street full of pretty little boutique shops, finding a couple of hand-made harps and wooden toys on display is not too unusual.<br \/>\nBut when you walk into the shop, small paintings and other little items slowly draw you into the gallery hidden at the back.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2409\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2409\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Gallery1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2409 \" alt=\"Gallery1\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Gallery1-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2409\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2409 \" alt=\"Gallery1\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Gallery1-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/noscript><\/a> Fearn Gallery on Heol y Deri displays a delightful range of paintings, sculptures (Photo: Fearn Gallery)<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\n\u201cI opened nearly ten years ago, June 21, 2004, and I had the front room open as a gift shop gallery and a year later progressed in to the back room and we re-did this [back] room completely and set us as exhibitions,\u201d said Victoria Fearn, the co-owner of the gallery.<br \/>\nVictoria is a qualified silversmith who has been running a successful jewellery line for years now.<br \/>\n\u201cI have my work in about thirty different galleries right across the country, but found that some months I\u2019d have hundreds of pounds back in and other months I\u2019d have very little and I just needed some continuity and something else,\u201d she said.<br \/>\n\u201cI\u2019ve always loved, not just jewellery but pictures, ceramics, glass, sculpture and I really wanted to have a place of my own where I have my workshop and sell lots of different makers. So I set up with my mum 10 years ago and it\u2019s a showcase for my own work and also other people\u2019s work.\u201d<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2455\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2455\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Victoria-Fearn.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2455 \" alt=\"Victoria Fearn\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Victoria-Fearn-300x168.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2455\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2455 \" alt=\"Victoria Fearn\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Victoria-Fearn-300x168.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/noscript><\/a> Co-owner Victoria Fearn set up the gallery with her mum ten years ago<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nThe gallery showcases a different exhibition every six to eight weeks, which include paintings by local and national artists.<br \/>\nThe current exhibition, Over the Moon, explores the theme of the moon with different landscapes from the sea-side to the valleys.
