Photo: Ya Peng<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nAbdul Rahman Deeb, of Cardiff, was one of several former students who left tributes online.<br \/>\n\u201cMalcolm was an exceptional lecturer, he made accounting classes a joy to attend and easy to learn,\u201d he said.<br \/>\nMr Deeb was taught accounting, financial analysis and control by Dr Anderson and completed his Master of Business Administration MBA in 2017.<br \/>\nWilliam Duffy, 21, a financial economics masters student, taught by Dr Anderson, said: \u201cThe consensus is utter shock. He\u00a0was by far the best lecturer I ever had, he managed to make accounting fun somehow. He always seemed to have a positive outlook.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cOne of my lectures was cancelled because my lecturer was so distraught. It shows how highly he was thought of,\u201d he added.<br \/>\nRachel Williams remembers looking forward to her accounting classes with Dr Anderson for her Business Management degree in 2008.<br \/>\nMs Williams, 28, of Caephilly, said: &#8220;Malcolm managed to make accounting everyone&#8217;s favourite module. He was so funny, and brilliant at explaining things in a way which everyone could understand.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">A decade ago I attended an open day at <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cardiffuni?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@cardiffuni<\/a>. I couldn&#8217;t decide what subject to do but after an inspiring presentation by Malcolm Anderson I chose business. Such a brilliant man who touched so many lives &lt;3<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rachel Williams (@RachelWilliamsO) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RachelWilliamsO\/status\/966030039052701696?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 20, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A message of condolence left for Dr Anderson and his family said:\u00a0\u201cWe want to say thank-you for being everyone\u2019s favourite lecturer; you made our exams and first semester more enjoyable with all your jokes.<br \/>\n\u201cYou will be dearly missed by all, thank-you for everything.\u201d<br \/>\nA Cardiff University spokesperson said: \u201cOur thoughts are with Malcolm\u2019s family, friends, colleagues and students at this extremely difficult and emotional time.<u><\/u><u><\/u><br \/>\n\u201cMalcolm was much loved and respected by students and staff. He was widely recognised for his work and valued by the University, academic colleagues and his students.
