{"id":2838,"date":"2014-03-07T10:26:38","date_gmt":"2014-03-07T10:26:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/?p=2838"},"modified":"2014-03-07T10:26:38","modified_gmt":"2014-03-07T10:26:38","slug":"wales-v-england","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cardiffjournalism.co.uk\/thecardiffian\/2014\/03\/07\/wales-v-england\/","title":{"rendered":"Biggest game yet: England v Wales preview"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/sam.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2845\" alt=\"sam\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/sam-1024x662.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"662\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2845\" alt=\"sam\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/sam-1024x662.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"662\" \/><\/noscript><\/a>Defending champions Wales face England in the Six Nations on Sunday knowing they have to win to keep their ambitions of an unprecedented third title alive.<br \/>\nWales have an impressive recent record over England, having beaten them on the last three occasions without conceding a try, but the holders cannot take anything for granted in London on Sunday.<br \/>\nTraditionally Wales struggled at Twickenham but have won two and lost two at the home of English rugby since 2008.<br \/>\nBoth sides go into the match with two wins and one defeat so far in this season\u2019s tournament.<br \/>\nThis will be their 125th meeting, with England looking for\u00a0revenge after last year\u2019s 30-3 defeat at the Millennium Stadium\u00a0which clinched the title for Wales.<br \/>\nEngland, Wales, Ireland and France are all level on four points at\u00a0the top of the Six Nations table with another two rounds of the tournament left to play, meaning the winner of Sunday\u2019s clash could go on to win the tournament on the final day on March 15.<br \/>\nWales are looking for their third consecutive Six Nations title while England are bidding for only their second in 11 years.<br \/>\nThe big team news this week was Scarlets\u2019 Jonathan Davies\u2019 inclusion in the Wales side for the first time since November.<br \/>\nThe centre has played only two halves of rugby for Scarlets since suffering a pectoral injury against South Africa, but has been deemed fit to play by the Welsh coaching staff.<br \/>\nDavies\u2019s partner in the centres, Jamie Roberts, has impressed so far in this year\u2019s championship, and this will be the first time the pair have played alongside each since the Lions\u2019 third test win over Australia.<br \/>\nRoberts missed the autumn tests while Davies has missed the first four rounds of the Six Nations.<br \/>\nAfter an impressive showing against Les Bleus, Rhys Webb remains at scrum-half ahead of Mike Phillips, who is on the bench.<br \/>\nThere is one positional change in the backline with George North reverting to the wing because of Davies\u2019s return at centre.<br \/>\nVersatile Scarlet Liam Williams drops to the bench as a result.<br \/>\nFellow Scarlet Jake Ball is also on the bench after impressing on his first Wales start against France after Jones\u2019s late withdrawal.<br \/>\nThe back row remains unchanged with captain Sam Warburton featuring alongside Dan Lydiate and Taulupe Faletau.<br \/>\nWales go to Twickenham at full strength on Sunday but England have injuries.<br \/>\nStuart Lancaster is yet to name his starting line-up for Sunday but Wales can expect a tough game at Twickenham despite England being without four Lions in Alex Corbisiero, Dan Cole, Geoff Parling and Tom Croft.<br \/>\nExeter back-row Tom Johnson has been named in England\u2019s match-day in the only change in their 23-man line-up.<br \/>\nJohnson is likely to be on the bench, with Ben Morgan starting at number 8.<br \/>\nEngland head coach Lancaster would have been reluctant to make too many changes following the impressive\u00a013-10 victory over Ireland.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nWales team to face England:<br \/>\nLeigh Halfpenny (Blues);
