Peace and Health &#8212; built to bring communities and nations together after World War One.<br \/>\nThe anniversary of the Cardiff building has been celebrated with a whole month of events.\u00a0<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nHead of Wales for Peace, Craig Owen said: \u201cThe focus has been on creating a good quality day for visitors rather than getting a high turnout but there has still been a really good turnout.\u201d\u00a0<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nThe\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/jomec.co.uk\/thecardiffian\/2018\/11\/06\/remembrance-weekend-at-temple-of-peace\/\">centenary of the\u00a0armistice<\/a>\u00a0was commemorated\u00a0at the Temple on King Edward VII Avenue earlier this month\u00a0with performances, a film screening and a memorial\u00a0service, which was attended by over 200 people.\u00a0<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nThe building was built to commemorate\u00a0the servicemen and\u00a0women\u00a0who lost their lives in the\u00a0conflict\u00a0and to function as a building where advances on peace and health could be made.\u00a0<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nMinnie James otherwise known as the &#8220;Mother of Wales&#8221;,\u00a0opened the building on\u00a0November 23, 1938 after the loss of her three sons during WW1.\u00a0<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_29973\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-29973\" style=\"width: 300px\" Peace<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nThe\u00a0anniversary on Friday will be celebrated with a gala evening that includes an interpretation performance of the opening ceremony and a fireworks display.\u00a0<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nThe event has been sold out for a few weeks now and is expected to be \u201cA first in the temples history,\u201d said Mr Owen.\u00a0<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nOther events include a tour of the Temple tomorrow\u00a0and a women war and peace seminar on Thursday.\u00a0<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nThe re-dedication of the Peace Garden will take place on Saturday where sculptural mosaics and a memorial trail will be unveiled\u00a0there will also be a screening of Watch Africa.<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nThere will be a seminar to talk about international experiences and opportunities available to young people\u00a0on Monday, November 26.<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nNext Wednesday there will be guided Temple tours and a conference on building resilience to extremism and exploitation and how the people of Wales can build peaceful paths within their communities.\u00a0<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nThe\u00a0events will come to an end\u00a0November\u00a030,\u00a0with an evening of comedians who will share their views on the world today.<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<strong>Here is more information on the<\/strong> <a
