It even monitors pedal and steering wheel usage to recommend when the driver should take a break.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3115\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3115\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/SAM_0404.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3115 \" alt=\"SAM_0404\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/SAM_0404-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3115\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3115 \" alt=\"SAM_0404\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/SAM_0404-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/noscript><\/a> This Audi A3 is packed with gizmos<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nBut Luxury and Performance Sales Specialist at Cardiff Audi, Joe Barry, was also keen to emphasise the performance of the A3, which is most popular young families or older couples.<br \/>\nOn the test drive, the 1.4 TFSI petrol engine was smooth and barely heard while the sensitivity of the steering adapts at different speeds. To park, just one finger is needed to direct the car while on motorways the steering is more touch-resistant.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3118\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3118\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/SAM_0415.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3118 \" alt=\"SAM_0415\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/SAM_0415-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3118\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3118 \" alt=\"SAM_0415\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/SAM_0415-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/noscript><\/a> Audi engineering is definitely aspirational<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nIn terms of fuel economy, Mr Barry said the new A3 works well to minimise waste. \u201cThe gear change indicator means the car is fuel efficient. Two out of four of the cylinders shut down when operating at lower levels.\u201d<br \/>\nWhere the car might fall down is in its visibility. Both rear windscreen and back passenger windows are small. Mr Barry admitted the A3 has reduced rear visibility but the cleverly angled wing mirrors give a larger view.<br \/>\nThe electronic handbrake is also difficult to get used to. With only a red light and tug on the pedals to indicate when it has kicked in, drivers might feel tentative.
