Daylight\/Sunlight\u00a0discrepencies<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rightacres\u00a0had offered the residents a sum of money to get an expert view on any issue relating to the development. The residents enlisted the help of the Building Research Establishment (BRE) to look at the sunlight issue.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>
\nMrs Davies said: \u201cWe commissioned the BRE to assess\u00a0Rightacres\u2019 light study. The things we were saying were wrong were in fact wrong.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>
\n\u201cRightacres\u00a0did another study which still does not address everything the BRE pointed out.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>
\nMrs\u00a0Davies wants further assessments to be done.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>
\n\u201cWe want another study done by BRE as they set the regulations and are impartial. Our sunlight is going to be even more affected than our daylight,\u201d she said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Tall Building conundrum\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

An issue that has been raised by residents relates to the fact the building is considered a \u2018Tall Building\u2019 under the Standard Planning Guidelines (SPG). The SPG outlines that Tall Buildings should not be developed in residential areas, with\u00a0Pentre\u00a0Garden residents pointing this out.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>
\nHowever, in its amended \u2018Justification of Height\u2019 document,\u00a0Rightacres\u00a0contend that this building does not satisfy the criteria for a Tall Building.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>
