Image: Spring Design<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nPrivate housing will comprise:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 x bedroom flats<\/li>\n<li>11 x three-bedroom houses<\/li>\n<li>49 x four-bedroom houses<\/li>\n<li>7 x five-bedroom houses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Councillor Ali Ahmed said: \u201cIt is a fantastic scheme, especially with the affordable housing, which is very badly needed.\u201d<br \/>\nResidents had raised concerns over potential flooding. Natural Resource Wales \u2013 a government body designed to protect the environment \u2013 said there was an increased flood risk and recommended constructing a &#8220;scrape&#8221;.<br \/>\nA scrape is a depression in the ground with sloping grass edges to hold water. If there is heavy rain, water will pool at the bottom and be absorbed by the land or passed to the nearby river.<br \/>\nWates Residential said this will also attract wildlife, describing it as a \u201csustainable solution\u201d.<br \/>\nCouncillor Frank Jacobsen said: \u201cIt is a great development and it is great to see that we are having more houses being built in Cardiff.<br \/>\n\u201cWe still get our dog walking space next to it.
