I also tried a goat\u2019s cheese salad with beetroot. While I have to say I have never liked this hellish purple vegetable, I was nearly a convert with the salad\u2019s sweetness more than offset by crisp rocket, walnuts and creamy goat\u2019s cheese.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3532\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3532\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/AlmadaGoatsCheese.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3532 \" alt=\"AlmadaGoatsCheese\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/AlmadaGoatsCheese-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3532\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3532 \" alt=\"AlmadaGoatsCheese\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/AlmadaGoatsCheese-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/noscript><\/a> Goat&#8217;s Cheese salad with Beetroot<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nAs it was when my main arrived I was more than ready to try Almada\u2019s take on piri piri chicken, one of my favourite dishes.<br \/>\nThe chicken was char-grilled kebab style and marinated in a sumptuous concoction of Portuguese chilli and spices. More impressively, crisp, homemade chips accompanied the chicken.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3529\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3529\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/AlamadaMain.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3529 \" alt=\"AlamadaMain\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/AlamadaMain-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3529\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3529 \" alt=\"AlamadaMain\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/AlamadaMain-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/noscript><\/a> Almada&#8217;s take on Piri-Piri Chicken<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nAs with the starters the presentation was once again impressive but the chicken was second to none. Though the piri piri sauce wasn\u2019t nearly as spicy as I expected, it was rich and full of flavour.
