Chapter have given us this room for free which is really good,\u201d he said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/repaircafewales.org\/\">project<\/a>, started in Amsterdam, now has over a thousand caf\u00e9s around the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Splott, Cathays, Grangetown, Ely and Penarth also host events.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re all volunteers, with a wide range of skills. The council need to give them more premises, it\u2019ll save things building up in their tips,\u201d said Ms Morgan, who also had her favourite pair of shears repaired.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Mr Phillips, who also sells honey made from beehives in the Chapter community garden, says the caf\u00e9&#8217;s aim is community cohesion.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have people coming together to meet new people in their community,\u201d he said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a wide range of ages and backgrounds who probably wouldn\u2019t come across each other otherwise. It serves that social purpose as well.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Ken Barker, who along with Richard Evans performed free bike checks at the event, also emphasised the community aspect.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cOften people don\u2019t have a place to take their items.
