They are called bearded dragons because of the beard they have, which becomes darker and bigger when they are frightened or stressed. It makes them look bigger.<br \/>\n\u201cI feed her with leafy greens and at the moment she has fresh watercress, mint, basil, celery and a bit of cooked butternut squash. Every two or three days I give her hoppers or crickets and occasionally worm meals.<br \/>\n\u201cWilliam absolutely loves her. I was not able to pick up a lizard before doing the course, now I\u2019m fascinated by all these exotic animals.\u201d<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/CF_dragon3_web.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-4010 alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/CF_dragon3_web-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"Bearded dragon\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-4010 alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/CF_dragon3_web-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"Bearded dragon\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/noscript><\/a><br \/>\nSmaug was bred in captivity and is now five years old but she could live another 10 years.<br \/>\nBut which pet would you prefer?
