There will be short readings during the night as well as the opportunity to chat with&nbsp;authors. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Welsh author Matt Johnson, who has lived in Raglan for eight years, will be <\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am the token Taff here,\u201d he joked. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>He is currently working on police procedural drama scripts for television.  <\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cI try to inject authenticity so people can see what it is really like in the police, TV people want to do the same thing with their shows,\u201d  he said.  &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>His last book, End Game, was published in 2018, and was the conclusion to his Wicked Game trilogy. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Louise Beech, based in Hull, will be taking part in the Roadshow for the fourth time. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cPenarth is the last night so I\u2019m sure we\u2019ll all be tired, but I just love to travel with everyone,\u201d she said. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have a lovely gang, we call ourselves #TeamOrenda, and a lot of us only see each other on this tour.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Mr Johnson added: \u201cAs authors, we all work in isolation, so it is&nbsp;quite the treat to work with a mixture of authors and sit down with them. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe all have the same problems so that\u2019s nice to hear.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Authors from around the globe go on the tour.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Perhaps most notable is Australian author Helen Fitzgerald who wrote The Cry, which was turned into a BBC drama last year. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Ms Beech said that she is This was taken at a London event in 2018.<br \/><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n<p>The informal nature of the event means that it is the perfect opportunity for those wanting to come for the first time, said Ms Beech.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is very relaxed, it is a great thing to do if you have never done a book tour before and there\u2019s bound to be one book you like there,\u201d she added. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Mr Johnson said, \u201cjust come along and be inspired.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Orenda Books will&nbsp;also be donating two copies of every author\u2019s book to two secondary schools and two libraries. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is to encourage reading, make it as possible for people on a low income to enjoy these amazing reads, and also give something back to a community that is so kind to support our event,\u201d Mrs Sullivan said. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<p><strong>Tickets are \u00a310 and include a free drink and discounted books.
