back to  Llanishen\u00a0Clinic\u00a0after\u00a0they\u00a0were\u00a0relocated\u00a0three\u00a0years ago.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Back in 2017, Cardiff\u00a0and\u00a0Vale\u00a0University Health Board\u00a0moved the GP services\u00a0on\u00a0Newborough\u00a0Avenue\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0Cathedral View\u00a0Medical Centre, based in\u00a0Gabalfa\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0which is\u00a0over three miles away from Llanishen.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p>It said the new location was more suitable for continuing healthcare provision.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p>But ward\u00a0councillors\u00a0have\u00a0started campaigning  for their return after the issue was raised at a recent\u00a0Llanishen\u00a0Residents\u2019\u00a0Group\u00a0meeting.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Councillors\u00a0in\u00a0Llanishen and Thornhill, along with\u00a0Pontprennau and Old St Mellons\u00a0councillor, Joel Williams, have written to\u00a0Cardiff and Vale University Health Board\u00a0requesting a meeting\u00a0to express their concerns.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Llanishen and Thornhill&nbsp;councillor, Thomas Parkhill,&nbsp;said: \u201cThat particular clinic is around a lot of&nbsp;vulnerable&nbsp;people&nbsp;and we wanted to bring back those services so that those people who need it could have better access.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are really lucky that we have&nbsp;got Heath Hospital&nbsp;in Cardiff&nbsp;which has some&nbsp;really good&nbsp;specialist services.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cHowever,&nbsp;in regards to&nbsp;GP services,&nbsp;there seems to be a gap where cuts have been made.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith more houses being developed and more people moving into\u00a0North Cardiff, there seems to be no current acknowledgment of any future planning to address it,\u201d he said.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Julie Morgan, AM for Cardiff North, said:\u00a0\u201cI was aware of the closure of the GP clinic at\u00a0Newborough\u00a0Avenue\u00a0after being contacted by constituents in 2017 and I made representations to the local Health Board at the time and expressed their concerns.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The Cardiff and Vale University Health
