Dan Naughton)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>\u201cI normally shout out the window at them, but they\u2019re not\nscared of me anymore,\u201d said Ms Bunce.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cI have to stand at that bus stop every morning, and I got\nglass all over my shoes. It\u2019s not safe.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think they should speak to their parents. They\u2019re the\nones letting them out at whatever time of night.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Simon, 34, who also lives in Pennsylvania, said the damage was a reoccurring problem.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt happens all the time and it\u2019s frustrating because it\u2019s so dangerous. There are old people and young children who live in this area and use these stops regularly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<p>He believes that a lack of services for young people in the\narea is causing the issue.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s nothing for them to do around here,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe park is rubbish, and so they just walk around doing things\nlike this. \/><\/noscript><\/figure><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<p>Pentwyn and Llanedeyrn Councillor Joe Carter said: \u201cVandalism\nis a serious offence, and this was done with no regard for the community.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019d like to see intervention from the council\u2019s youth\nservices and the parents of these children because this is a dangerous matter, and\nthese teens seem to be allowed out at all hours.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe do have a lot of activities for young people in the area,\nbut it would be good to have some more options for older teenagers. <\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cHowever, this damage is happening late at night, when clubs\nare finished.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Coun Carter thanked the council for acting quickly to remove the glass shards and said that since the glass at Bryn Celyn bus shelter was replaced with a metal mesh, there had not been any further damage. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img called Clear Channel, who replace the glass, but if the waste or cost\ncould be cut down by installing a different material then that would be good,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>A spokesperson for Clear Channel said that after being notified\nof damage on Monday morning, local teams attended the shelters within two hours\nand cleared away the glass. <\/p>\n\n\n<p>The missing panels on these\nshelters will be replaced within the next five days as per their contractual\nobligation with Cardiff Council.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cAdvertising revenues driven by\nthe city\u2019s bus shelters ensure that we can make necessary repairs \u2013 including\nbroken glass.
