Some pubs, restaurants and non-essential shops follow suit &#8211; more are expected to do the same.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Some small business are coping with the potential loss of business by offering gift cards and adapting their menu&#8217;s for deliveries for the upcoming months.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Here&#8217;s the businesses that shut up shop on Tuesday, March 17th, as we covered it live. <\/p>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n<p><b>19:46<\/b><strong>pm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">McDonald&#8217;s close seated restaurants<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>McDonald&#8217;s restaurants across the UK and Ireland are closing seated area restaurants following government advice updates on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Paul Pomroy, CEO of McDonalds UK and Ireland said: &#8220;We are continuing to follow official guidance from the government and health authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The wellbeing of our customers, employees and suppliers is of the greatest importance to us and we will continue to ensure our policies and procedures reflect the best available information from those authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We remain committed to the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness and have strengthened our detailed procedures in this area to minimise the spread of COVID-19.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Takeaway, delivery and drive-thru will continue to be available for the time being. <\/p>\n\n\n<p>Cardiff has 8 McDonald&#8217;s restaurants in the UK that will be affected by the closures.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/jomec.co.uk\/thecardiffian\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/1280px-McDonalds_logo.svg-1024x776.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-42715\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/jomec.co.uk\/thecardiffian\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/1280px-McDonalds_logo.svg-1024x776.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-42715\" \/><\/noscript><figcaption>Image: McDonald&#8217;s Inc<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n<p><strong>15:17pm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Splash Central closes<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Splash Central has closed and will temporarily lay of the 95 staff who work for the swimming pool.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Splash Central is based off Ocean Way near Splott and Butetown. The company also has venues in Dinas Powys and Rhoose which have also closed.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>In a Facebook post they said: &#8220;The safety of our staff and our customers has, and will continue to be our main concern.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are heartbroken that, as a small business, who\u2019s income has ceased overnight, that our 95 staff will now be temporary laid off until such a time that we are able to re-open our doors.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Cardiff International Pool will remain open until the government advises against it. Its owners, Parkwood leisure, have introduced more cleaning and sanitising. until summer 2021<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>UEFA have officially decided to postpone the Euro 2020 tournament to next summer.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Wales qualified for the Euro&#8217;s last year but will have to wait to
