We want people to make their own experience and celebrate being the artist.<br \/>\n\u201cWe\u2019re interested in the ownership of art and space, and how we can get people involved and immersed.\u201d The town has a post office and postman so you can write to neighbours or strangers. It also has a community board for notices of businesses or petitions, and a radio station playing tunes and announcing who\u2019s moved in.<br \/>\nAbigail said: \u201cWe also have a councillor, who\u2019s the unseen power that you can write to. Who knows?! Now we\u2019ve heard there\u2019s going to be a little-Amsterdam opening next to the police station.<br \/>\n\u201cThe whole town is a reimagining of Cardiff in a playful intergenerational way \u2013 as time goes on the town grows. On the last day, when the town is complete we invite our residents back for a street party.\u201d<a href=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/so_hms5_web.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4479 size-thumbnail\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/so_hms5_web-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"so_hms5_web\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4479 size-thumbnail\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/so_hms5_web-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"so_hms5_web\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/noscript><\/a><br \/>\nLucy Hayhoe, 30, co-creator of Home Sweet Home, said: \u201cThere\u2019s a gentle participation, and a lot of choice in what you do. We did one in LA, which was strange \u2013 it started out like they were building the American dream. \u201cThen a couple of troublemakers moved in and someone opened an Inuit whale-slaying shop.<br \/>\nSuddenly we had an anti-whale slaying march down the main street. \u201cWe\u2019ve travelled around the world with it \u2013 to Australia, America, Japan, Canada, Germany, Poland and the UK, but this is our first time in Cardiff.\u201d<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/so_hms3_web.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-4477 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/so_hms3_web-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"so_hms3_web\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-4477 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/so_hms3_web-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"so_hms3_web\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/noscript><\/a>But the piece is not just a half-term activity for kids \u2013 the two artists said the best results happen when everyone gets involved.<br \/>\nAbigail said: \u201cThe difference between kids\u2019 and adults\u2019 interactions are funny \u2013 adults generally want to cause trouble, and kids just want a swimming pool in their back garden and to go to parties.<br \/>\n\u201cI think it\u2019s going to be quite playful here in Wales. People get it. At it\u2019s heart it\u2019s a playful interaction, where everyone owns a piece of this. \u201cWithout everyone coming, without an audience, it wouldn\u2019t exist. So it\u2019s a celebratory piece, where everyone\u2019s an artist.\u201d<br \/>\nHome Sweet Home runs from February 16-21 in the Glanfa foyer at the Wales Millennium Centre with 100 units available a day on a first come, first serve basis.
