He said: \u201cIt\u2019s going to be a beer garden right out there, backing onto Bangor Street. We were not consulted, I only found out from a friend at a party.<br \/>\n\u201cNow when I open my windows I can hear the building work so when it opens we will hear the noise from people outside.<br \/>\n\u201cIt is also the rubbish, it could be an eyesore if the rubbish is left out with big bins.\u201d<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4856\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4856\" style=\"width: 296px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/DA_bangor2_online.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-4856 \" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/DA_bangor2_online-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"DA_bangor_print2\" width=\"296\" height=\"222\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4856\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4856 \" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/DA_bangor2_online-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"DA_bangor_print2\" width=\"296\" height=\"222\" \/><\/noscript><\/a> Scaffolding shows work taking place to the rear of the new Cameo Club on Bangor Street<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nBut Cameo Club owner Huw Davies has tried to allay residents\u2019 concerns about his business\u2019s expansion.<br \/>\nThe original Cameo Club is based in Pontcanna and has built up a good reputation in the area.<br \/>\nMr Davies wants to answer resident concerns, which he believes are based on misunderstanding.<br \/>\nHe told the Cardiffian that his licence will only run to midnight on weekends, with an 11pm cut-off in the week. He said: \u201cI think they have misunderstood what my intentions actually are.<br \/>\n\u201cNo-one will be outside past 9 o\u2019clock and the midnight license only applies on weekends.<br \/>\n\u201cI think people think it will be an eyesore because the building has been for some time. But I\u2019m investing very heavily in giving it a very thorough refurbishment.<br \/>\n\u201cThe only customers the back entrance will be used for are those who book a table and need wheelchair access.<br \/>\n\u201cMost people on Bangor Street have been very welcoming and only a small proportion have complained. Ultimately I hope the residents of Bangor Street will become good customers.<br \/>\n\u201cIt is good that there is a subcommittee because it gives people an opportunity to air their concerns.
