Despite suffering countless infections and near-constant pain, the NHS can only offer Mook an operation in August.<br \/>\nConcerned mum Christine Cooper, of Machen Close, St Mellons, was so worried about her two-stone daughter she started a campaign to raise the \u00a33,000 needed for private surgery to fix the condition.<br \/>\nSince the Cardiffian broke the little girl\u2019s story earlier this week, the campaign has made \u00a3605 in contributions. The current amount stands at \u00a32,105, less than \u00a31,000 away from \u00a33,000 total.<br \/>\nMook\u2019s mum, 38, said: \u201cWhat can I say? It\u2019s just mad! The amount of support out there is wonderful.<br \/>\n\u201cMook doesn\u2019t really understand what\u2019s going on, but she knows she\u2019s going to get better faster.<br \/>\n\u201cThe day the Cardiffian story came out there were lots of donations,\u201d she said. \u201cWe\u2019ve had so much support from complete strangers since then!\u201d<br \/>\nThe campaign has received support from home and abroad \u2013 with ex-Cardiff City footballer Michael Chopra tweeting his support from India. I have a little girl and I can\u2019t imagine going through that. I was sharing it straight away, then called her mum to offer to visit her in hospital whenever she has the operation.\u201d<br \/>\nMook\u2019s mum has said they\u2019re thrilled to be approaching their goal, and pleased she might be able to treat the seven-year-old when her ordeal is over.
