She also said timings of the day were unsuitable for people who worked.<br \/>\nMs Corria resigned after reporting issues of \u201cculture, attitude and sexism within the Labour party\u201d to Welsh Labour\u2019s general secretary David Hagendyk \u2013 who she claimed \u201cfailed to act\u201d.<br \/>\nHarriet Harman MP, the party\u2019s deputy leader, is touring more than 70 marginal seats across the UK in a pink 16-seater mini-bus, to front the \u201cpink bus\u201d tour. The campaign, also dubbed \u201cWoman to Woman\u201d, has been heavily criticised since launching in February, with the party having to deny the \u201cBarbie doll\u201d colour of the bus is patronising to women.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5876\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5876\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/AC_Harman.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5876\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/AC_Harman-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"Harriet Harman MP visiting Cardiff in a pink minibus\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5876\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5876\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/AC_Harman-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"Harriet Harman MP visiting Cardiff in a pink minibus\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/noscript><\/a> Harriet Harman MP visiting Cardiff in a pink minibus<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nMs Corria said: \u201cEverything they [Labour] do reinforces the stereotype. If you wanted to hear from women in Cardiff you would not stage the event at a time when most women are working.<br \/>\n\u201cThey pat themselves on the back but it is just a photo opportunity. They only told me 24 hours before what was happening \u2013 and I\u2019m a Labour member. There is clearly no way to get involved with the pink bus unless you are a Labour lovie, lunch, or have kids.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cIt is great to see Harriet Harman visit but I would have liked to have seen some much more creative ways with her campaign,\u201d Ms Corria added.<br \/>\nMrs Harman arrived in Cardiff yesterday morning where she met Jo Stevens, Labour\u2019s candidate for Cardiff Central. The pair met female workers in British Gas.<br \/>\nMrs Harman said: \u201cWe\u2019ve had a very interesting discussion with women here at British Gas today. One woman who worked here said she was offered a promotion but she couldn\u2019t take it as it wasn\u2019t worth her starting earlier \u2013 as she had to pay for extra childcare.<br \/>\n\u201cChildcare has been a very big issue. We are circling Cardiff in our pink bus to meet as many women as we can.\u201d<br \/>\nIn the afternoon, the bus rolled into Llanishen, where Mrs Harman knocked on doors on Fishguard Road with Mari Williams \u2013 Labour\u2019s candidate for Cardiff North. The pair then spoke to parents and children at Coed Glas primary school before Mrs Harman left Cardiff at 3.45 pm.<br \/>\nMs Williams said: \u201cIt was great to have Harriet here today as it is going to be a really close election with the Conservatives only winning by 194 seats last time.<br \/>\n\u201cWe found that women are juggling lots of things, especially in their family life, and want a government which helps them with this. They were concerned about the cost of child care and the NHS \u2013 issues which Labour will address.\u201d<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Screen-Shot-2015-03-13-at-09.11.36.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-5877 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Screen-Shot-2015-03-13-at-09.11.36-281x300.png\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2015-03-13 at 09.11.36\" width=\"281\" height=\"300\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-5877 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Screen-Shot-2015-03-13-at-09.11.36-281x300.png\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2015-03-13 at 09.11.36\" width=\"281\" height=\"300\" \/><\/noscript><\/a><br \/>\nThe campaign supplements Labour\u2019s first separate \u201cwomen\u2019s manifesto\u201d which will be launched in April. So far it has pledged:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>25 hours of free childcare for working parents of three and four-year-olds, an additional 50,000 childcare places, guaranteed access to \u201c8am-6pm\u201d schooling through breakfast and after-school clubs to help working parents.<\/li>\n<li>Support for grandparents who juggle the care of their grandchildren and their working hours.<\/li>\n<li>Transparency in pay figures, as companies with more than 250 workers will have to publish the \u201chourly pay gap\u201d between the sexes in their annual reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A former\u00a0Labour councillor has blasted her own party\u2019s campaign to get more women voting \u2013 after the \u201cpink bus\u201d came to Cardiff yesterday.
