According to The Official Infidelity Index 2015, which was released this week, <strong>15,048<\/strong> people are having an affair in Cardiff.<\/em><br \/>\nCardiff remains the extra-marital capital of Wales, beating Swansea, where 9,907 people are apparently having an affair, Bangor, where there are 6,702 and Merthyr where there are only 278 people.<br \/>\nThe number seems to be on the rise as last year it was reported 14,192\u00a0polygamous partners had an affair in Wales&#8217;s capital city.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5899\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5899\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/3915106402_a54b9c1ff7_o.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5899\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/3915106402_a54b9c1ff7_o-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Image Credit: www.chromoz.com\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5899\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5899\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/3915106402_a54b9c1ff7_o-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Image Credit: www.chromoz.com\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/noscript><\/a> Image Credit: www.chromoz.com<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nThe index uses data from almost one million postcodes to highlight the most illicit areas in the UK.<br \/>\nIt was created by dating website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.illicitencounters.com\/\">Illicit Encounters<\/a>, the longest running dating website for married people.<br \/>\nHowever, the results are based solely on the data from the website, which is only 3 per cent of the total adult population in relationships and therefore is only a reflection.<br \/>\nThe discreet and confidential service target people who are \u201cmarried but feel neglected\u201d and have almost 900,000 members across the UK. During the month of January alone, over 3,500 women joined up to the website \u2013 a record in the site\u2019s 11-year history.<br \/>\nClaire Page, a spokesperson for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.illicitencounters.com\/\">Illicit Encounters<\/a> said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThere has been a clear change in attitudes toward adultery in the last few years, but 2015 indicates something much bigger.<br \/>\n&#8220;Women are coming to us with more awareness about their needs than ever before. From their profiles, you can see our new ladies are looking for something more than just a quick fumble &#8211; they are looking for fulfilment, they expect something life-altering.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>One member of the site, Tiffany who is 39 said: \u201cMy decision to join was made out of frustration.
