CARDIFF City travel across the River Severn tomorrow to take on local rivals Bristol City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Bluebirds have failed to win their last five Championship fixtures and find themselves hovering above the relegation zone in 20th<\/sup> place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A win over the weekend could see Cardiff climb above Hull City in 19th<\/sup> place and create more space between them and the drop zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Supporters Trust Chairman, Keith Morgan, said: \u201cWe have to start turning results around and move ourselves away from the bottom of the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt is crucial that we start picking up wins now and not get distracted by the glamour of the upcoming Liverpool FA Cup fixture.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Doubts remain over the availability of striker Kieffer Moore after testing positive for Covid for the third time this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In Moore\u2019s absence, James Collins is likely to remain the starting forward having completed the full 90 minutes against Blackburn and Preston North End.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Irishman has only managed two goals since joining the club at the start of the season but was a firm favourite at his previous club, Luton Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bristol City are not without their own problems, however. The Robins currently sit 16th in the table and are coming off a 6-2 thrashing at the hands of Fulham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A leaky defence has seen the home side concede 15 goals in their last five games and with recent reports emerging of the club’s \u00a338.4m financial loss last season, pressure is mounting at Ashton Gate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mr Morgan said: \u201cThey\u2019re not great, but at the moment they might have too much energy for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cTo be honest, I think I could run our central midfield and beat them for pace and I\u2019m nearly 65. That being said, their poor run of form will give our lads a much-needed boost.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bristol City will want a repeat of their last outing against Cardiff in August where two goals from Andreas Weimann were enough to clinch the three points in an exciting 2-1 victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But despite the most recent result, some Cardiff City fans remain quietly confident over their side\u2019s chances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jason Coyle, 50, said: \u201cI fancy Cardiff to win. Even though it\u2019s an away game, I do still think it\u2019ll be competitive since it\u2019s a derby. I see goals in it, so I\u2019ll go with 2-1 to the Bluebirds.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
