Cardiff Council made just over \u00a31m from 52,000 parking fines in 2021<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

RHYMNEY Street made Cardiff Council the highest revenue from parking fines last year while Windsor Place drivers received the most tickets, The Cardiffian can reveal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Freedom Of Information request found that the council received \u00a31,150,455 after issuing 52,074 parking fines across Cardiff last year. Of this, 5,050 were rescinded following appeals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cardiff Council’s website<\/a> states that a penalty will either be \u00a350 or \u00a370 depending on the type of contravention, although this figures is reduced by 50% if paid within 14 days.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of the top 20 of streets which saw the highest number of parking fines issued in 2021, Cathays and the City Centre contained the most. With Cathays receiving 4,674 alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
