Of course the only place you can\u2019t get it is in the stadium, which doesn\u2019t bother me too much,\u201d says Luc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\"><strong>Accommodation<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Accommodation hasn\u2019t provided the group with any issues, despite pre-tournament concerns of \u2018tent cities\u2019 housing fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are staying in an apartment complex, organised through official Wales fan travel provider, <em>Wonky Sheep<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery wp-block-heading\"><strong>Armband controversy<\/strong> <strong>reaction<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A further story in the run-up to Wales first game was the decision by FIFA to threaten yellow cards for captains planning to wear a <em>One Love<\/em> armband.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The gesture was aimed at \u2018promoting diversity and inclusion\u2019 at a tournament whose hosts outlaw homosexuality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FIFA\u2019s last-minute change of stance &#8211; threatening sporting sanctions against players who wore them &#8211; resulted in member associations backtracking on their plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">National federations have released the following statement.<\/p>&mdash; FA WALES (@FAWales) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FAWales\/status\/1594633387494481920?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 21, 2022<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The FAW released a statement regarding the <em>OneLove <\/em>armband<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cardiffjournalism.co.uk\/thecardiffian\/2022\/11\/22\/one-love-armband-u-turn-brings-criticism-of-faw-and-fifa\/\">Fans were unhappy <\/a>with FIFA\u2019s approach but many were unsurprised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s poor but always expected with how FIFA try to run things. As seen on social media, fans with rainbow hats were denied entry which was a shame,\u201d Dave said. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe lead up to the tournament with them (FIFA) saying everything will be fine is all coming out to be a pretty big lie.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTheir culture and beliefs are different to what we\u2019ve been brought up knowing. I disagree with a lot of what goes on here but I feel stuff like the idea of these armbands is just too little too late,\u201d Luc added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cQatar were awarded the World Cup 12 years ago.
