Inflation<\/a> has risen by nearly 11% over the past year, fuel and energy prices are through the roof, food bank usage is growing<\/a> and industrial action<\/a> is widespread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even as people continue to turn to discount retailers and own-brand ranges, the cost of Christmas will prove difficult to meet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
