Here is The Cardiffian&#8217;s guide to some of the best events that the area has to offer this year\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>November 21 \u2013 Bryn Deri Primary School Christmas Fayre<\/strong><br \/>\nBryn Deri Primary School\u2019s Parent-Teacher Association are hosting a Christmas Fayre at the end of the week. The event is open to all, and residents are invited to browse at a variety of festive stalls. Refreshments will also be available.<br \/>\nChildren will be able to visit Santa\u2019s Grotto and buy gifts for their parents in the secret gift room.<br \/>\nThe event will begin at 10am and finish at 12pm. There is no charge for children, but adults are required to pay a \u00a31 entrance fee.<br \/>\n<strong>November 28 \u2013 Christ Church\u2019s Get Ready For Christmas Event<\/strong><br \/>\nAll are welcome at Christ Church\u2019s first big Christmas event of the year. Adults are invited to browse the Christmas stalls, and children are encouraged to partake in a variety of fun-packed activities. There will also be a visit from Paddy the clown.<br \/>\nGet Ready for Christmas starts at 11am and ends at 2pm.<br \/>\n<strong>December 4 \u2013 Christmas Tree Lighting <\/strong><br \/>\nThe Christmas Tree lightning event has been running for the past five years.<br \/>\nSecretary of Radyr and Morganstown Association, Nick Hawkins, said: \u201cAs well as the Christmas tree lighting, there will also be various craft and food stands at the event. It\u2019s usually very well attended and it\u2019s always a fun-packed evening.\u201d<br \/>\nThe trees at Morganstown and Lychgate Gardens will be switched on at 6pm, and later followed by the main switch on at Station Road at 7pm. This year, Lord Mayor of Cardiff, David Walker, will attend the event.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/edited-mug-24.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-7575 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/edited-mug-24-300x285.jpg\" alt=\"edited mug 2\" width=\"244\" height=\"232\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-7575 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/edited-mug-24-300x285.jpg\" alt=\"edited mug 2\" width=\"244\" height=\"232\" \/><\/noscript><\/a><br \/>\n<strong>December 10 &#8211; Christmas Coffee Morning<\/strong><br \/>\nRadyr and Morganstown Conservatives are hosting a coffee morning at St Elmo, 36 Heol Isaf, Radyr. The event is organised by Councillor Rod McKerlich and his wife.<br \/>\nCouncillor McKerlich said: \u201cThe event is a fundraiser for the local Conservative party but it also attracts support across the political divide. This is, perhaps, due to the efforts my wife makes to decorate the house, including an enormous tree in the hall. There is a tombola, cake stall and a raffle and goodwill to all men and women.\u201d<br \/>\nThe event begins at 10.30am, but tickets are required for entrance. Tickets are \u00a32, and can be purchased from committee members.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_7587\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7587\" style=\"width: 285px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/church-ed.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7587\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/church-ed-285x300.jpg\" alt=\"Christ Church\" width=\"285\" height=\"300\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-7587\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7587\" src=\"http:\/\/cardiffian.jomec.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/church-ed-285x300.jpg\" alt=\"Christ Church\" width=\"285\" height=\"300\" \/><\/noscript><\/a> Christ Church<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\n<strong>December 24 \u2013 Christ Church\u2019s Sunday School Nativity Play <\/strong><br \/>\nResidents are invited to see the local Sunday school perform this year\u2019s nativity play. Canon Jenny Wigley said: \u201cThere will be lots of fun and excitement, lots of dressing up and lots of\u00a0lovely Christmas carols for all the family.\u201d<br \/>\nThe production beings at 4pm at Christ Church, and will be followed by the traditional \u2018Midnight\u00a0Mass\u2019 service at\u00a011pm.<br \/>\n<strong>December 25 \u2013 Get Together at St. John\u2019s<\/strong><br \/>\nOn Christmas day, local churches invite you to meet at St John\u2019s \u00a0at 9.15am and Christ Church at 11am.<br \/>\nChildren are asked to bring one of their Christmas gifts to show the congregation. Adults are also welcome to join in and often bring lots of Christmas sweaters and musical ties to display to the group.<br \/>\nCanon Jenny Wigley is very enthusiastic about the event. She said: \u201cThe Rector has been known to try her hand at skateboarding down the aisle before now at the Christmas morning get together.
