A rally at the Senedd called for food, medicine and other aid to be sent to Sudan<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

CARDIFF’S Sudanese community is calling for the Welsh and UK governments to send aid and support to those affected by the conflict in Sudan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The civil war in Sudan\u2019s capital, Khartoum, is entering its second full week as the Sudanese Military and their former coalition partner, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), continue to fight for control of the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 420 people<\/a> are estimated to have died so far, with hospitals and civilian sites bearing much of the brunt of the fighting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of a rally held outside the Welsh Parliament on Sunday, members of Cardiff Sudanese Community called for the wider international community to hold those responsible for civilian deaths to account in the International Criminal Court at The Hague. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UK\u2019s Sudanese community is estimated to be around 35,000 people. The Cardiffian<\/em> spoke to those rallying in Cardiff in support of their homeland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
