A new multi-charity shop in the St Davids Centre has partnered with the Royal Ballet and Opera House to sell costumes worn in past productions.
The outfits are usually kept at the Scenery Store in Aberdare, but have now been given to the Charity Super.Mkt.
Prices have been kept as low as possible, with the money raised going towards the National Royal Ballet and Opera Foundation Fund.
The foundation was set up to provide singing and dancing lessons for children as well as allowing families to visit theatres in for the first time.
This is a cause many customers feel passionate about. One shopper admitted to having to sell things on eBay to be able to put her son through performing arts school. She said that, aside from London, people are being “priced out” of these performing skills.
The outfits have been used in a wide range of plays and operas in theaters across London, allowing fans to buy costumes from their well-known plays.

Super.Mkt opened their doors for the first on the 14th of February. They already had shops in England and Scotland, but this is the first of its kind in Wales.
The shop combines multiple charities in one place with the goal of raising as much money as possible. Charities working together means that they are able to occupy bigger spaces, like the one in St David’s, hoping to attract as many customers as big brand shops.
Daniel Brooks, shop manager of the Cardiff store, said that “they hope to get into locations that charities individually can’t get into”.
He went on to say that “I think its important. I think more people are becoming sustainable with their shopping habits, there’s too much fast fashion. So it was important that Cardiff has access to something like this”.
