MSc

The MSc Computational & Data Journalism was started at Cardiff University in 2014. Since then our graduates have gone on to report or design or build at the Los Angeles Times, The Bureau for Investigative Journalism, Lighthouse Reports, The Washington Post, The Times, The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, AFP, the BBC, FAZ, Flourish, The New Statesman and Bellingcat.

It’s a 12-month postgraduate course run by the schools of Journalism and Computer Science. Students do a first semester of computing and basic journalism, a second semester of investigation and optional modules, and a third semester of computational or journalistic specialisation.

More information on the course is available on the Cardiff University website. Or you can get in touch with the course directors, Aidan and Martin.
