Penarth Pier Pavilion is to be Renovated, Aiming to be at the Centre of the Local Community

Penarth Pier Pavilion is more than 100 years old. The pavilion has a cinema and multiple food and souvenirs shops surrounding it. What are the plans for renovation and who is going to be managing the Pavilion?

Vale of Glamorgan Council shared in their website that the previous operators Penarth Arts and Crafts Ltd has surrendered its lease and the Council is going to be managing the pavilion and will aim to protect it as a community resource.

The Council says there are plans for the pavilion’s renovation and development and its aiming to make the local residents a part of the renovation process, perhaps contributing with their ideas.

The main points of maintenance work includes improving the condition of the heating system, checking the state of the fire alarm and resolving electrical issues.

Sian Hunt moved to Penarth from Cardiff because of how beautiful and charming the place is and Penarth Pier pavilion being and symbolic part of it. Sian says Penarth Pier is a nice place for walks, often visited by many.
