St Fagan’s Autumn Feast combines tasty, local food with a sustainable lifestyle
St Fagan’s will welcome autumn this October with a feast of epic, yet sustainable, proportions.
The feast is an annual occurrence, attracting families from miles around with its seasonal aroma of locally sourced food blending with the crisp, autumnal air. Guests are encouraged to taste the seasonal foods cooked by staff, and traditional recipes are available.
The event, which is held at the National History Museum’s eco-friendly Tŷ Gwyrdd building, is also about more than just warming your stomach.
Lowri Griffiths, one of the event’s organisers, explained that the choice of venue was significant as the feast places a great emphasis on sustainable living, and offers families practical advice on how to do this.
She said, ‘ethically and morally, we’re all about promoting seasonal eating.’
