The Fetch Theatre prove that puppetry is not just for children

There will in fact be strings attached when The Fetch Theatre performs their poetry and puppetry infused production of Basant Lahore at Chapter Arts this November.
The Fetch Theatre’s production Basant Lahore combines poetry and puppetry into a colourful and original performance. Mazhar Tirmazi leads with his Punjab poetry, illustrated and brought to life by the expertly crafted puppets of director, designer and puppeteer Purvin.
Arts project manager Cindy Watson said, “It’s more creative than literal. The puppets tell the story that the poet describes but through rhythms and sounds.”
The collaboration of puppets and Punjab poetry show it’s just as much for adults as it is for children, especially as the viewing age is twelve plus.
