New recycling services sweep through Cardiff
Cardiff is aiming to reach its recycling targets, starting with reforming waste and recycling services. Residual waste has seen a significant reduction in the first few weeks of the new system, according to Cardiff Council media advisor, Alastair Love.
The introduction of the new services on 12 September saw general collections changed to every two weeks, urging residents to take the opportunity to recycle more. Overall, the service has been working well showing a positive performance early on, with support being offered online to those who need further advice.
With the council claiming Cardiff is adjusting well to the changes, how have the new recycling and waste collection services affected the people of Cardiff and South Wales?
