PreFab Clothing is welcoming young and old for some festive fun with a difference this Christmas
You can make your own stocking the sustainable way, with PreFab Clothing’s Winter Workshop.
Parents and children can go along to the shop on Albany Road in Roath on Saturday December 17 and make a stocking from pre-loved materials.
Project Manager Sian Rogers believes the workshops are helping to contribute to the recent resurgence in popularity of arts and crafts, and the ‘make do and mend’ mentality.
PreFab’s sells secondhand and up-cycled goods with a 1950’s twist, and its proceeds go wholly to Cardiff’s YMCA Housing Association. Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg recently visited the shop’s recycling centre.
Manager Simon Turner said the workshops are integral, “It’s about raising awareness; we have to think about the activities we can set up so we can use the materials we receive from donations.”
