Iceland Foods has been through difficult times in recent years, but now they are hitting new heights.
In the first quarter of 2012 founder Malcolm Walker bought back a controlling share in the company, securing its future, and in the summer was named the Sunday Times ‘Best Big Company to Work For in the UK’ award.
The company has gained momentum recently, demonstrated by Llanrumney’s new store outperforming expectations by 150 per cent. Now, contrary to the job market, it is looking to recruit new people.
Leigh, manager of the Albany Road store, said: “Most importantly we look for happy, smiley people. We always train them in everything they need to know, and we have a welcoming, open working culture.”
