Cardiff now has 4G, the next generation internet speed for compatible mobile devices. The EE network, which owns Orange and T Mobile, won the bidding war with Ofcom to be the first network to own the new speed. Luckily Cardiff is one of the eleven cities to experience it.
4G is now seven times faster than previous internet on mobiles and they say even more reliable. Although customers are impressed with the speed they receive now, what will happen when other networks offer the same service?
Alan Vanstone, who sold the first 4G phone to a customer in the Cardiff EE branch, explained that, “Now we have capped the speed but plan to increase it throughout the year. You will never have to wait buffering again.”
