Food Not Bombs hand out hot food to anyone who wants it
The Cardiff branch of an international movement against poverty and nuclear weapons is expanding this month as it strives to hand out more food to the needy.
Food Not Bombs started in American in the 1980s and is a collective of dedicated campaigners following the principles of veganism, consensus decision making and non-violence.
Every Friday Food Not Bombs will be meeting to whip up produce, donated by locals, into a hot and healthy feast to be handed out on the evening streets of Cardiff.
Efa Thomas, a long standing member of the group, stated that their aim is not only to help those in need but also to be “in your face” as a “reminder of the poverty that does exist in this city.”
