Ale shop’s musical success

Tucked away on Barack Lane, one of Cardiff’s quirkiest venues is bottled up in The Gravity Station. The cosy bottle shop is seeing success in opening its doors for up and coming musicians to perform in its Gravity Sessions.

The events, held on the last Friday of each month, have been in the Cardiff music scene’s orbit for six months. The monthly events showcase four acts.

Manager Jim Swidenbank says “They’ve been quite successful and building, I think, as well.” He adds, “It’s just providing another platform, so more people can get out there and do stuff in a different type of venue.”

Many people enjoy live music, but for something out of this world it is worth chasing with a pint of craft ale.
