Welsh Clwb helps to save another

A Cardiff live music club has gathered all of it recourses to throw a fundraiser to save the history of a Newport club and the welsh live music scene.

Le pub, Newport, have announced they’re struggling to fund recent renovations that help sound proof the club and reduce threat of closure due to noise complaints from the council.

Taking to social media with the tag #Savelepub, Le pub have been able to raise £10K making them £4K shy of their target this Cardiff based Clwb ifor bach Announced they wanted to help by doing what they do best, throwing a gig. Mclusky / Jarcrew are performing a one off reunion gig just for the cause.

Richard hawking from Clwb Ifor Bach said, “We are a similar age, so we know fair about it. And we have a sentimental connection. I think its now also the only Newport club of its kind since the closure of TJ’s so the welsh live music scene needs this.”
