Atma, a vegetarian café and yoga centre, will open its doors in Cardiff’s Church Street this month. One of only a few vegan and vegetarian eateries in the Welsh capital, Atma will be run by Hare Krishna devotees and offer Mexican, Middle Eastern and American street food dishes, just to name a few, in a takeaway and sit-down form.
The brains behind Atma is Hare Krishna monk Tarakanetha das, who said that Atma’s aim is to create a spa for the soul, to “satisfy your appetite and connect to a healthier lifestyle”.
Atma intends to redefine the way we all try to unwind and recuperate after a busy workday by merging nutritious world food with language, yoga and musical meditation classes, called Kirtan.
